Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, addressed her constituents and national policy issues in a series of posts on March 27, 2026.

In a message thanking participants for engaging with her outreach efforts, McClain wrote: “Thank you to everyone who joined me for my telephone town hall. As I work here in D.C. to deliver President Trump’s America First agenda, hearing your concerns and taking your questions helps me craft policy that will DELIVER for Michiganders. See you at the next one!” (March 27, 2026).

Addressing gender and sports policy later that day, she stated: “Biological men ARE NOT WOMEN. Women shouldn’t be forced to compete against MEN. I’m glad to see that the International Olympic Committee is taking long overdue action to PROTECT WOMEN’S SPORTS.” (March 27, 2026).

On border security and partisan politics, McClain posted: “This tells you everything you need to know. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS.” (March 27, 2026).

Lisa McClain succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th district in Congress in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
