Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently used her social media platform to comment on a range of national political issues, including election integrity, inflation, and government funding.

On February 12, 2026, McClain posted: “The SAVE America Act is simple, and it’s common sense. ONLY Americans should vote in America’s elections. Period. No loopholes. No games.”

The following day, on February 13, she addressed economic policy and inflation: “President Trump and House Republicans are working TIRELESSLY to tame inflation, and this month’s inflation report is just the latest good news on our efforts. By ENDING Democrats’ attacks on energy, workers, and businesses we’re UNLEASHING the American economy!”

On February 15, McClain commented on the status of the Department of Homeland Security: “Democrats have SHUT DOWN the Department of Homeland Security. For Democrats, protecting illegal aliens who molest, rape, and murder is more important than ensuring that TSA, the Coast Guard, FEMA, and cybersecurity offices get the funding they need to DO THEIR JOBS. It’s makes”

McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce at age 57. She graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1997.

Her recent posts reflect ongoing debates within Congress regarding voting rights legislation such as the SAVE America Act—aimed at restricting voting to U.S. citizens—and continued partisan disagreement over federal spending priorities affecting agencies like the Department of Homeland Security.
