Chairwoman Lisa McClain, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 9th district, has recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. McClain, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Paul Mitchell in 2021, has been vocal about her stance on law enforcement and rural America.

On June 7, 2025, McClain expressed concerns regarding the safety of law enforcement officers. She stated that “Democrats would rather put our law enforcement in danger than remove illegal aliens and criminals from our communities.”

In a tweet dated June 9, 2025, McClain introduced the One Big Beautiful Bill Act as a measure to prioritize rural America. She highlighted that this act “puts rural America FIRST,” by cutting taxes for farmers and small businesses, protecting rural healthcare facilities, and overturning staffing mandates imposed by the Biden administration.

Later on June 9, she emphasized the importance of supporting local agriculture within her district. She warned that without passing the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, “our farmers and producers will face a tax hike.” McClain also acknowledged Joe Cramer from the MI Bean Commission for their discussion on agricultural matters.

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and resides in Bruce. She graduated with a BBA from Northwood University in 1997.
