Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, announced a national tour and celebrated her interns in a series of social media posts on July 31, 2025.
In her first post, McClain wrote: “I am excited to officially announce my Big Beautiful Tour! I will travel across the country, visiting hometowns and main streets to talk with folks like YOU about the wins coming your way from the One Big Beautiful Bill! Can’t wait to make my first stops next week with https://t.co/v0oCZ6mdm0” (July 31, 2025).
Later that day, she acknowledged her summer interns in Washington on National Intern Day: “Happy National Intern Day to my exceptional summer interns here in Washington. Thank you for your dedicated work to serve Michigan’s 9th District and the @HouseGOP! https://t.co/JX1MkEqFnZ” (July 31, 2025).
She also recognized her interns at the Lake Orion District Office: “Happy National Intern Day to my wonderful summer interns in the Lake Orion District Office. Thank you for playing a vital role in serving MI-09! https://t.co/kc9eEH4pNx” (July 31, 2025).
Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997. McClain succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th district beginning with the 2021 congressional term.
