Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently shared her views on significant economic developments and legislative priorities through a series of tweets.

On June 18, 2025, McClain commented on General Motors’ investment in the Orion Assembly Plant. She stated that “@GM’s over $2 billion investment in the Orion Assembly Plant proves that @POTUS’ tariff negotiations are working.” This statement was made during an interview with WJR Radio.

Following this announcement, McClain invited her audience to listen to the complete interview by sharing a link. She posted “Listen to my full interview here (2/2)” on the same day.

Later that afternoon, McClain expressed urgency regarding pending legislation. She tweeted, “We’re on the doorstep of the new Golden Age of America. The Senate MUST pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, NOW!”
