Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently posted a series of statements on her social media account addressing national security and political issues.

On February 25, 2026, McClain praised the U.S. military and law enforcement for their role in extraditing an accused criminal to the United States, stating: “An indicted criminal brought to America for justice. Our military is the GREATEST on earth.”

Shortly after, she commended the President’s actions with another post: “Great job, Mr. President!” (February 25, 2026).

Later that day, McClain addressed what she described as misconceptions about women’s issues and partisan divides in Congress. She wrote: “Liberal radicals (who can’t even agree on what a woman is) don’t have a monopoly on “women’s issues” – or wearing white for that matter.

Here’s the truth… It’s REPUBLICANS who delivered no taxes on tips and overtime that women will benefit from. It’s REPUBLICANS who are making” (February 25, 2026).

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997 and succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative of Michigan’s 9th District.
