Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, has shared her views on several key issues via social media. Her recent posts highlight her focus on economic policies and addressing antisemitism.

On May 6, 2025, McClain emphasized the importance of bringing investments back to America. She stated, “The American people elected @POTUS and the @HouseGOP to bring investments back to America.” She advocated for extending the Trump tax cuts as a means to create jobs in local communities.

Later that day, she recounted a meeting with Katie Pavlich at Americans for Prosperity headquarters. In her post, McClain noted their discussion on fiscal matters: “It was wonderful to sit down with @KatiePavlich at @AFPhq today to discuss reconciliation and how @HouseGOP is working to root out waste, fraud, and abuse and extend the Trump tax cuts for hard-working Americans.”

On May 7, 2025, McClain addressed antisemitism on college campuses during a press conference. She expressed gratitude towards her colleagues and a victim of antisemitic violence for participating in the event: ” From my press conference today about antisemitism on college campuses. Thank you to Chairman @RepWalberg, @RepBurgessOwens, @RepFine, and Michael Kaminsky, a victim of antisemitic violence at DePaul, for speaking.”

Lisa McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
