Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently highlighted her legislative priorities and views on economic policy in a series of posts on social media.
On February 24, 2026, McClain promoted her proposed legislation by stating, “My Information Quality Assurance Act is common sense. It ensures that federal bureaucrats use high quality and factual information when making rules that affect American families. It’s crazy that a law like this is even necessary, but that’s Washington for you. Glad to see my https://t.co/U3solpWqMJ”.
Later the same day, she commented on the national economy and upcoming State of the Union address: “President Trump has delivered an ECONOMIC BOOM! I’m excited to hear about all the WINS from a year of Republican leadership tonight at the State of the Union. https://t.co/0Uo52z3MZr”.
On February 25, 2026, McClain also acknowledged small business owners benefiting from recent tax cuts: “Small business owners like my guest, Ben, are able to INVEST in their business and their employees thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts. Happy to have a Michigander from MI-09 join me in the House Chamber tonight! https://t.co/lQNageHWY1”.
McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997. Before joining Congress, she succeeded Paul Mitchell as representative for Michigan’s 9th district.
