Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media account on February 25, 2026, highlighting recent legislative actions and contrasting Republican and Democratic approaches to healthcare.

In one post dated February 25, 2026, McClain stated: “Republicans passed:

No tax on tips
No tax on Social Security
No tax on overtime”

Shortly after, she shared another message expressing enthusiasm with: “USA! USA! USA! USA!” (February 25, 2026).

Addressing healthcare policy in a third post the same day, McClain wrote: “While BIG INSURANCE gets rich, Americans get sick.

Unlike Democrats who want to line the pockets of insurance companies, Republicans’ plan lowers premiums for Americans.”

McClain has served as the representative for Michigan’s 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. In addition to her political career, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
