Chairwoman Lisa McClain, the U.S. Congress representative for Michigan’s 9th district, has shared a series of perspectives through tweets addressing various political developments. McClain, who has served since 2021 after replacing Paul Mitchell, continues to communicate her legislative focus on Twitter.

On April 28, 2025, Chairwoman McClain referenced the resumption of the House GOP’s activities in Washington, following a stint dedicated to district work. She stated, “Today, the @HouseGOP returns to Washington to continue our work after a productive district work period. We met with constituents and spread our winning message.” McClain contrasted this with her critique of the opposition, saying, “Meanwhile, Democrats doubled down on supporting illegal aliens, activist judges, and policies that increase costs or.”

In another communication on the same day, McClain emphasized a presidential initiative. She tweeted, “Another WIN for the American people and public safety! @POTUS is continuing to fight back against dangerous sanctuary cities that put illegal aliens FIRST and Americans LAST.” This statement highlights her views on public safety and immigration-related policies.

Later, on April 28, 2025, McClain expressed pride in supporting a piece of legislation aimed at addressing the issue of deepfakes. She wrote, “I’m proud to have voted in favor of the TAKE IT DOWN Act tonight on the House floor.” She credited various political figures for their involvement, including Chairman Rep. Guthrie, Rep. Maria Salazar, and First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS), in tackling the exploitation of children through such technology.

Lisa McClain, born in Stockbridge, Michigan, in 1966, has been active in her role, representing Michigan’s 9th District. Graduating from Northwood University with a BBA in 1997, she now resides in Bruce.
