On Monday, April 7, former Lake Orion High School standout Chris Hege’s current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, won 8-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.

The game took place at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Golden Eagles this season.

The Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 6 p.m. at Dozer Park against Bradley Braves.
