On Thursday, May 8, former Avondale High School standout Emily Beckas’ current collegiate team the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals won 4-0 against the Ferris State Bulldogs in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at SVSU Softball Complex at 2 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Ferris State Bulldogs in the tournament.

The Saginaw Valley State Cardinals’ next game will take place on Friday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at SVSU Softball Complex.
