Oxford Community Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 15.

February is Black History Month. 

Mrs. Leenstra’s first graders learned about Ruby Bridges, the first African-American child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana on November 14, 1960. They talked about Ruby’s character traits and completed a directed drawing activity together.
