Trevor Smith, a former Stoney Creek High School star now playing for the Grand Valley State Lakers, is set to take part in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The Lakers will open the tournament as the No. 2 seed, facing off against the seventh-seeded Ashland Eagles.

Their first matchup is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Alumni Arena.
