Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of messages on her official social media account on February 25, 2026. The posts addressed recent legislative developments, celebrated American athletic achievements, and marked the nation’s upcoming anniversary.

In one post from February 25, McClain wrote: “Every single Democrat voted to raise your taxes.” She did not provide further details about the specific legislation referenced in this statement.

Later that day, she congratulated American athletes for their performance at an international event: “SO PROUD of our athletes who won gold for AMERICA, especially the 5 Michiganders on the Men’s Hockey team! Great work guys!! “

In a subsequent post on February 25, McClain referenced the country’s approaching milestone anniversary and ongoing initiatives: “As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation, Agenda 250 is underway. The American comeback is underway and this is going to be the Golden Age of America “

McClain has served as a member of Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
