Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of messages on her social media accounts between March 29 and March 30, 2026, addressing national commemorations and political issues.

On March 29, McClain acknowledged Vietnam veterans in a post stating, “Today we honor the legacy of service those who served in Vietnam gave to our nation. Thank you for your service. “ On the same day, she commented on legislative actions regarding border security funding: “In the middle of the night, Defund-the-Police Democrats tried to DEFUND CBP and ICE. Let’s be clear: House Republicans WILL NOT ALLOW Democrats to hold TSA agents, the Coast Guard, or AMERICA’S NATIONAL SECURITY hostage. Let’s fund the people who KEEP US SAFE. @MariaBartiromo”

The following day, McClain marked National Doctors’ Day with a brief message: “Happy National Doctors’ Day!”

McClain has been active in Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
