Lisa McClain, currently serving as a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th District, regularly shares her views on national topics through her social media platform. Having replaced the late Paul Mitchell in 2021, McClain offers opinions and updates on political issues and commemorative events.

On April 22, 2025, McClain posted on social media, commenting on what she termed the “Trump Effect.” In her words, ” THE TRUMP EFFECT — MORE INVESTMENTS IN AMERICA “. Her statement implied an increase in domestic investments influenced by or attributed to former President Donald Trump’s policies.

Later the same day, McClain voiced her concerns regarding Democratic policies through another post. She framed it as a critique by stating, “Democrats are insulting women’s intelligence. The SAVE Act PROTECTS the vote of every American — including women — and keeps illegal immigrants OUT of our elections.” The SAVE Act, mentioned by McClain, is legislation aimed at safeguarding voting integrity by reinforcing voter eligibility requirements.

On April 23, 2025, McClain took to her platform to commemorate Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day. Reflecting on the historical tragedies, she wrote, “On Yom HaShoah, may we never forget the six million innocent lives horrifically taken from us during the Holocaust. May the pain of their absence remind us to never forget the atrocities committed against the Jewish people. “ Her statement paid tribute to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, emphasizing the importance of remembrance and education regarding past atrocities.

Lisa McClain, born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966, continues to reside in Bruce, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University earned in 1997.
