Representative Lisa McClain, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Michigan’s 9th district, has recently shared a series of tweets discussing various political matters. McClain replaced Paul Mitchell in 2021 and has been vocal on several issues pertinent to her constituents.

On March 31, 2025, McClain addressed the controversy surrounding the SAVE Act, stating “Democrats are lying, saying the SAVE Act prevents women from registering to vote — it PROTECTS their vote.” She emphasized that the Act is designed to prevent non-citizens from voting by providing multiple ways to verify voter identity, thus ensuring electoral integrity.

Later that day, McClain expressed her stance on antisemitism in educational institutions by tweeting “Colleges failing to take action against antisemitism should be held accountable.” She advocated for creating a learning environment that is free from hate, underlining the necessity for accountability in cases where colleges fall short.

The following day, on April 1, 2025, McClain commented on economic policy in a tweet praising former President Trump’s economic strategies. She mentioned that “President Trump’s negotiations are putting America and our economy first.” McClain highlighted Trump’s efforts in revitalizing the economy, in contrast to the Biden administration, by bringing investments, jobs, and manufacturing back to the United States.
