U.S. Congresswoman Lisa McClain, who represents Michigan’s 9th district, shared a series of posts on social media highlighting recent tax relief for auto buyers, the contributions of Coast Guard Reservists in her district, and her continued support for American manufacturing.
On February 19, 2026, McClain posted about local automotive industry achievements and new tax benefits: “The BEST cars are BUILT IN MICHIGAN! And thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, families can deduct $10,000 of their auto loan interest for new cars made in America. I enjoyed touring a local dealership to discuss these tax relief wins for hardworking Michiganders!”
Later that day, she acknowledged the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves’ anniversary and their work in Michigan’s 9th district: “Happy Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, including the reservists right here in MI-09! Coast Guard Reservists patrol the waters of the Great Lakes saving Americans with search and rescue operations and keeping us SAFE from illicit drug smuggling.” The post recognized both search and rescue missions as well as efforts against illegal activities on regional waterways.

Lisa McClain has represented Michigan’s 9th District since 2021 after succeeding Paul Mitchell. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. McClain earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in 1997.
