Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress member representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, recently posted several statements on her official X account regarding legislative priorities and immigration policy.

On February 25, 2026, McClain wrote, “End ALL waste, fraud, and abuse!” at 2:58 a.m. UTC. Shortly after, she addressed immigration issues in another post at 3:04 a.m. UTC: “Biden let millions of illegal aliens pour into our country, many of them violent criminals.

President Trump and Republicans are getting them off the streets of our communities!”

Later that morning at 3:09 a.m. UTC, McClain commented on legislative progress with a reference to fellow lawmakers: “Proud to already have voted to pass the Save America Act!

McClain was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently resides in Bruce. She earned her BBA from Northwood University in 1997.
