Chairwoman Lisa McClain, a U.S. Congress representative for Michigan’s 9th district, continues her active engagement in political discourse as evidenced by her recent tweets. McClain’s posts reflect her support for former President Donald Trump and her initiatives in Congress.

On April 30, 2025, McClain expressed affirmation of Donald Trump, marking 100 days of his post-presidency. She wrote, “100 days of President Trump out in the REAL WORLD. No hiding, no nonsense. PURE strength & REAL leadership.”

Later that day, McClain announced her scheduled appearance on Fox and Friends to discuss legislative matters. Her tweet read, “Looking forward to joining @foxandfriends around 7:40am! We will discuss my new Common Cents Act, which will codify the President’s executive order on pennies, and President Trump’s visit to Michigan to celebrate his historic first 100 days!”

In addition to her media appearance, McClain tweeted about her legislative efforts with the introduction of the Common Cents Act. She commented, “Today, I’m introducing the Common Cents Act to cut wasteful spending and codify @POTUS’ executive order! Pennies are a waste of taxpayer money — this bill is common cents.”

McClain began her congressional career in 2021, succeeding Paul Mitchell. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan, in 1966, she has been actively involved in Michigan’s affairs, having graduated from Northwood University in 1997.
