Matt Maddock, a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, recently shared a series of posts on his Twitter account addressing issues ranging from political campaign tactics to housing and welfare.
On April 4, 2026, Maddock commented on the proliferation of political text messages during campaigns. He stated, “Do-Not-Call-Registry does include texts but political texts are basically exempt. STOP QUIT END might stop them. Some are sending text messages to you 27x a day to hurt their opponents. It’s a new campaign strategy to make you hate someone.”
Later that same day, Maddock posted another message focused on real estate and living conditions: “Let’s talk about housing.”
In an additional post on April 4, 2026, Maddock addressed welfare recipients in the United States: “They hate American but can’t live without it because they literally live off it by collecting welfare.”
Maddock serves as a state legislator in Michigan and has been known for his outspoken positions on social and political issues.
