On August 4, 2025, Maddock commented on the cost of municipal fees for business owners in Detroit. He stated: “Business owner friend of mine in Detroit pays over 25,000 in Duggans Rain Tax”. The so-called “Rain Tax” refers to stormwater fees implemented by some municipalities to manage water runoff and infrastructure costs.
Later that day, Maddock addressed concerns about racial bias in political processes. He wrote: “Racism is a cancer and we surely need to cut it out of all redistricting.” Redistricting has been a contentious issue nationally and within Michigan, with ongoing debates about fairness and representation.
In another post from August 4, Maddock expressed his opinion regarding pandemic-related safety protocols. He said: “Last thing I want to see is an election machine repair worker wearing a Covid mask in August 2025”.
