Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, made several posts on his social media account in April 2026 addressing judicial monitoring, bail policies, and immigration enforcement.
On April 12, Maddock suggested the use of artificial intelligence to monitor judges’ court proceedings. He wrote, “I believe we can track judges by creating AI agents to monitor their court arraignments and report the data back to us or a central location. Then we can see how liberal they are and share it with their communities and they will get voted off the bench and then install a good https://t.co/pDpqcP3Apl”.
The following day, on April 13, Maddock commented on state bail policies by posting, “Another leftist zero bail state. https://t.co/FI6c0t83jd”.
Later that same day, he addressed immigration issues in another post: “Deport the illegals and problem. https://t.co/Zdiuvve1ws”.
Maddock’s comments come amid ongoing debates about criminal justice reform in the United States. Some states have adopted zero-bail policies aimed at reducing pretrial incarceration rates for nonviolent offenses. These reforms have sparked controversy among lawmakers and community members regarding their impact on public safety and judicial discretion.
Immigration enforcement also remains a divisive topic nationally. Discussions around deportation policies often center on federal versus state authority as well as humanitarian concerns for individuals affected by these measures.
