Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, published a series of posts on April 6, 2026, expressing strong opinions about affordable housing and public interactions at his events.
In his first post at 11:19 AM UTC, Maddock wrote, “So many things I want to say about this but can’t.”
Shortly afterward at 11:38 AM UTC, he made a statement regarding housing policy: “Affordable Housing” is a scam to shovel tax money into the furnaces of the left.
At 11:43 AM UTC the same day, Maddock commented on attendees of his public events by stating, “Lonely. Bitter. Broke. Angry. They really are sad. They show up by the dozen whenever I hold Coffee Hours.”
Maddock is known for his conservative stance in Michigan’s legislature and has been vocal on social media regarding various policies and constituent interactions. Affordable housing programs have often sparked debate in Michigan and nationally over their funding mechanisms and effectiveness.
