Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, posted a series of tweets on March 31, 2026, addressing issues related to utility profits, political party affiliations, and voting systems.

In his first tweet at 16:07 UTC, Maddock commented on recent financial results from Consumers Energy. He wrote: “This rate hike will only cost you a dinner a month but Consumers Energy made $1.127 billion raw profit in 2025 up from 1.007 billion in 2024. The 6 execs running the joint make $10.4m, 4m, 2.6m, 2.3m, 2.06m and 2m plus 11 Board members making 500k “ (March 31, 2026).

Later that day at 16:25 UTC, Maddock addressed party affiliations in another post: “All the communists joined the democrat party because they realized they can’t win on their own.” (March 31, 2026).

At 18:52 UTC on the same day, he discussed changes to voting systems at a convention: “Rigged choice voting communists snuck into the convention. They changed their name to “instant runoff voting” but it’s still the same scam to supercharge voter fraud. These kommies have endless cash so fight them every chance u get or they will make cheating impossible to detect.” (March 31, 2026).

Maddock has been known for his vocal criticism of energy companies and election reforms during his tenure as a Michigan lawmaker.
