Matt Maddock, a Michigan State Representative, made several posts on his Twitter account in August 2025 criticizing Democratic policies and election procedures.

On August 17, 2025, Maddock wrote, “Deciphering Democrats: when they say Protect our city! it really means Protect our criminals!” Later that day, he posted about his professional experience, stating, “I’ve chased fugitives for 35 years and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen piles of Bridge Cards.”

The following day, on August 18, Maddock commented on the impact of mail-in voting on electoral outcomes. He asserted in a tweet: “Without their mail in scam, republicans will have 8 additional Governors, 121 Congressman, 16 Senators and complete control of the legislature in 10 more states.”

Bridge Cards refer to Michigan’s electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards used for public assistance programs. In recent years, debates over mail-in voting have been prominent across the United States. Allegations regarding the security and impact of mail-in ballots have surfaced repeatedly since the 2020 presidential election; however, multiple state and federal reviews have found no widespread fraud associated with mail-in voting.
