Matt Maddock, a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets on March 22, 2026, expressing opinions on higher education, tax policy, and airport security staffing.

In one post, Maddock wrote: “The whole kollege thing has been the world’s greatest mass wealth transfer scam. It only enriched the communists to expand and elect more communists in America.” (March 22, 2026).

In another tweet from the same day, he commented on tax policy by stating: “Perry Johnson will give us a permanent income tax holiday https://t.co/I8kT7w7dNF” (March 22, 2026).

Maddock also addressed staffing at airport security checkpoints: “Republican TSA Agents are working. Dem agents are calling in sick and not showing up. In Atlanta, half the agents are dems. In Detroit, 95% Republicans. https://t.co/GWdAqnwftt” (March 22, 2026).

Maddock is known for his outspoken views on education and government spending. The topics he raised reflect ongoing national debates about student debt relief and perceptions of political influence in higher education as well as partisan divides in public sector employment.
