Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, shared a series of posts on March 9, 2026, expressing his views on the state’s housing issues and recent legislative efforts.

In one post, Maddock addressed the state’s housing shortage and undocumented immigrant population. He wrote, “Michigan has 260,000 illegals and a 90,000 housing shortage. We could solve our housing crisis if just 1 of 1000 leftists took in an illegal.” (March 9, 2026).

Later that day, Maddock criticized upcoming housing legislation in Michigan. He stated, “These housing bills about to be passed in Michigan are a Trojan Horse. The left will immediately build mobile home parks in swing Republican districts and it’s a billion dollar taxpayer giveaway to billionaires.” (March 9, 2026).

In another post, Maddock praised State Representative Karen Whitsett for her comments regarding her faith and political affiliation. He quoted Whitsett as saying: “For me, it is impossible to be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ while remaining a member of the Democratic Party as it exists today. I cannot reconcile that platform with Scripture,” (March 9, 2026). Maddock added his own message: “Blessings and big hug Karen.”

Maddock is known for his vocal stance on immigration policy and opposition to certain Democratic initiatives within Michigan’s legislature.
