Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, posted a series of comments on his Twitter account on July 22, 2025, addressing topics including criminal justice policies and election procedures.

In one post at 03:03 UTC, Maddock commented on law enforcement and bail reform. He wrote, “Betcha this high-speed chase dirtbag is a fugitive. This is a perfect example of how Zero Bail endangers police and society.”

Later that day, at 13:05 UTC, he questioned hiring practices in another post: “No sht. Who is hiring these shts”

In the evening at 22:05 UTC, Maddock raised concerns about election reforms and their financial implications. He stated, “Did you know Ranked (Rigged) Choice Voting will cost taxpayers an additional 200 million dollars?”

Ranked-choice voting has been discussed in several states as an alternative to traditional voting methods. Some analyses estimate increased costs for implementing new systems due to equipment upgrades and voter education efforts.

Maddock represents Michigan’s 51st District in the state House of Representatives and has previously spoken out against bail reform policies and changes to election procedures.
