Matt Maddock, a Michigan state legislator, posted several statements on his social media account between March 13 and March 14, 2026. His tweets addressed topics ranging from White House staff relations to state university funding and the leadership of civic organizations.

On March 13, Maddock commented on the conduct of U.S. presidents toward White House staff, stating: “He knows all the White House staff pet names and names of their kids. Democrat presidents all had a no look no talk policy with staff. Trump treats them like family.”

Later that day, Maddock discussed higher education funding in Michigan: “The State Constitution mandates that we fund our 15 State Universities. We gave them 1.8 billion last year. How much should they get?” The statement references Michigan’s constitutional requirement to provide financial support for its public universities.

On March 14, Maddock criticized the current leadership of a local civic group: “The Michigan Township Association had been taken over by hard leftist. Like just about every civic organization. The left don’t mess around. They capture assets and execute their agenda. And we watch.” The Michigan Township Association is an organization representing township governments across the state.

Maddock has served as a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives and is known for his commentary on state politics and governance issues.
