Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, posted a series of tweets on March 31 and April 1, 2026, covering topics from culinary history to political commentary.

In a tweet dated March 31, 2026, Maddock referenced the origins of a popular dessert: “Ella Brennan made the first Bananas Foster in New Orleans in 1951. One of our favorite because it’s not all sugar. Slim’s at Surfside with @MeshawnMaddock and Nicholas the Pyrotechnician.”

Later that evening, he recounted an incident involving a delegate at a convention: “A delegate friend heard the boss communist yelling at someone on the phone in the bathroom. He was yelling that they got paid lots of money to be there but they shipped the wrong literature for the convention. When I asked how much they were paid to be there, they said they were” (March 31, 2026).

On April 1, Maddock responded directly to another user by stating his position on certain groups: “@hoagmaster I don’t tolerate communists or abortionists in my presence and you communists were only there to lie to ppl.”

Maddock is known for his outspoken conservative views as a member of Michigan’s House of Representatives. The tweets reflect both personal interests and his ongoing engagement with political discourse online.
