Matt Maddock, a Michigan state legislator, has recently shared several updates on his social media account addressing tax policy, electric vehicle maintenance, and judicial transparency.

On April 11, 2026, Maddock stated: “Zero income tax for sure.”

The following day, April 12, 2026, he commented on the reliability of electric bus batteries: “Odds are one of the 11,000 cells in the bus will go bad within the next 2 years. Cost to diagnose the single bad cell and replace it is about 20k if you can find someone to do the work.”

Later that same day, Maddock announced legislative efforts aimed at increasing transparency in Michigan’s court system. He wrote: “I’m working on a bill to force Michigan courts to make public their fail to appear rates and how many fugitives each judge is responsible for releasing back into neighborhoods. Then we can get you this data @JohnnyFSE”

Maddock is known for his advocacy of lower taxes and government accountability as part of his legislative platform in Michigan.
