Matt Maddock, a Michigan state representative, posted a series of tweets in early February 2026 expressing concerns about perceived communist influence in local governance and protests.

On February 8, 2026, Maddock wrote: “Pretty much all gubermet https://t.co/7XgXq7i8dN”.

The following day, he addressed the presence of communists in Howell, Michigan. On February 9, 2026, he tweeted: “Communists are everywhere. Even in Howell where you’d think they weren’t. We need to replace the communists on their Skool Bord if they allow this protest next Thursday. https://t.co/KBBu2Cj5HW”.

Later that same day, Maddock continued his commentary with another post: “Communists don’t mess around. They always take action and appear to be the majority. We don’t and appear to be in the minority. https://t.co/E7nVk2H7Si”.

Matt Maddock has been known for his outspoken positions on social media regarding education policy and political ideology within Michigan communities. As a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, Maddock has previously engaged in debates over school board decisions and local activism.
