Today, Representative Lisa McClain from Michigan voted against a regulation established by the Biden administration’s Environmental Protection Agency. This rule had given California the authority to prohibit the sale of gas-powered vehicles by 2035.

In response to this, Rep. McClain stated, “Americans deserve the right to choose the cars they want. The fact is, Biden has used liberal California to impose a one-size-fits-all solution nationwide. One state should never dictate national policy.” She added that House Republicans are actively working to overturn these policies to help lower costs for drivers, truckers, and consumers.

For further information on the legislation, referred to as H.J. Res. 88, additional details can be accessed through provided links.
