A partnership between the Michigan Department of Education and Minneapolis-based IT service management firm Pearson VUE has made it possible for teaching candidates to take the Michigan test for teacher certification in more ways than one.
Under the partnership, Pearson VUE has added more hours and has reserved appointments for people taking the examination. The test center at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant is among the partner facilities across Michigan that are open; it is currently accepting testing appointments for the next half-year.
Michigan superintendent Dr. Michael Rice is appreciative of the partnership.
“It is essential that all children in Michigan have access to a well-prepared educator who can aid them in their learning journey,” Rice said, according to Michigan.gov.
Individuals who want to schedule a testing appointment can do so by visiting Michigan Test for Teacher Certification.
