Lake Orion Community Schools issued the following announcement on July 22.
As Lake Orion Community Schools looks forward to the 2021-22 school year, the administrative positions in the district will continue to keep LOCS among the state’s elite.
The transition at Stadium Drive Elementary School will feature Gretchen Hynes taking over as the new principal next fall.
Ms. Hynes has a variety of leadership experiences in LOCS, most recently as an assistant principal at Lake Orion High School. She worked previously as a teacher at Carpenter Elementary, Orion Oaks Elementary and Oakview Middle School.
She will transition to Stadium Drive this summer.
LOCS looks forward to adding Gretchen Hynes to the strong team of principals.
