On October 3rd, Scripps principal Mr. McKay found himself caring for one of Scripps' smallest learners! A young squirrel found itself trapped in the courtyard of the school. When it couldn't figure out how to get out, it began to panic. Mr. McKay and custodian Mr. Darryl placed barriers across the 6th grade hallway and then gently herded the squirrel out of the courtyard, through the hallway, and out to freedom on the other side.
We hope that the squirrel has learned more caution and we are grateful for the care that Mr. McKay shows to all our friends!
