Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI) has introduced the Iran Nuclear Verification Act, a bill that calls for the President to delay rejoining the Iran Nuclear Deal until certain conditions are met. These conditions include granting UN Nuclear Inspectors full access to Iran's nuclear sites and the completion of a comprehensive report on Iran's nuclear activities by the inspectors.

In explaining the need for this legislation, Rep. McClain emphasized Iran's support for terrorist organizations and its efforts to destabilize the Middle East. She criticized the previous Iran Nuclear Deal negotiated by President Obama, stating that it "has only empowered their nuclear capabilities and threatened global order." Rep. McClain also expressed concern about President Biden's efforts to renegotiate the deal.

"I am proud to introduce a bill today to prevent the United States from re-entering such a flawed and dangerous agreement with Iran," said Rep. McClain.

The Iran Nuclear Verification Act has garnered support from several Republican representatives who have joined as cosponsors. These include Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC), Rep. Maria Salazar (R-FL), Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Daniel Webster (R-FL), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Rep. Rudy Yakym (R-IN), Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), and Rep. William Timmons (R-SC).

This bill comes at a critical time as Israel faces threats from Hamas, a terrorist organization supported by Iran. The Iran Nuclear Verification Act aims to address concerns about Iran's nuclear capabilities and its support for destabilizing activities in the region.
