Representative Lisa McClain comments on Pearl Harbor anniversary and military policy

Representative Lisa McClain, currently serving Michigan's 9th district in the U.S. Congress, shared her thoughts on significant national and defense issues through a series of tweets. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan, McClain has been active in politics since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021.

On December 7, 2024, McClain commemorated the attack on Pearl Harbor with a tweet stating: "On this day 83 years ago, America was attacked, drawing the stars and stripes into the Second World War. Today, we honor the brave servicemembers who gave their lives defending Pearl Harbor and America's freedom. May we always remember their sacrifice."

In another tweet dated December 9, 2024, she commented on military readiness: "Woke ideology is out and lethality is in. This year's NDAA ensures we have the strongest fighting force to confront the 21st century battlefield." This statement reflects her stance on prioritizing military strength.

Later that day, McClain expressed support for Daniel Penny's actions with a succinct message: "Justice. Daniel Penny’s actions saved innocent lives." Her tweet underscores her perspective on justice and individual acts of heroism.
