On Tuesday, April 22, former Lake Orion High School standout Chris Hege’s current college team, the Western Illinois Leathernecks, won 7-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The game took place at Duane Banks Field. This was their first matchup against the Hawkeyes this season.

The Leathernecks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 2 p.m. at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium against Lindenwood Lions.
