There were 15,042 students enrolled in Rochester Community School District in the 2022-23 school year, 0.2% less than the previous year, according to the Michigan Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 69.0% of the Rochester Community School District total enrollment.

Rochester Community School District covers 22 schools within Oakland County with its main office in Rochester. Among them, Rochester High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,715 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Overall student enrollment in Michigan remains below pre-pandemic levels, white students experiencing the largest decline at 6.5%.

Academic performance has also suffered, with the state's average NAEP score dropping by 6.5 points and ethnic achievement gaps widening. Black and Hispanic students' average math proficiency dropped by 7% in 2022, to 13.5% and 28.2%, respectively.
