Pontiac Regional Chamber issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.
Amazon’s new delivery station in Pontiac is now open.
It’s the first of two facilities to be completed on the 127-acre site that was formerly home to the Pontiac Silverdome off Opdyke Road.
The global retailer started construction in February on the delivery station and a 823,000 square-foot fulfillment center, an approximately $271.6 million investment. The fulfillment center is expected to be complete in 2021.
