City of Rochester Hills issued the following announcement on Sept 8.

On Saturday, September 18 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. the Rochester Hills Museum Young Leaders Circle will be hosting their first Barns and Brews event presented by Chief Financial Credit Union at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm.

The Rochester Hills Museum Young Leaders (RHMYL)  is a group of individuals under 40 that are leaders in local businesses, non-profits, and in the greater community. From young professionals who have been museum members for years to individuals interested in getting involved in the Rochester Hills area, this group aims to connect the next generation to local history.

“Events like this allow us to bring in a new group of neighbors and connect them in a unique way to our community’s story,” states Jillian Pixley, Chair of the RHMYL. “We’re excited and thankful for the generous sponsorship from Chief Financial Credit Union and Rochester Club Apartments that made this event possible.”

Guests will enjoy an evening of local music, drinks, food and friends. The Ivybrooke Strings quartet will perform covers of modern pop songs, folk music, and more throughout the night. Happy Camper Cupcakes and the Salt and Sugar Food Truck will be on site serving fresh food to cater to your cravings. In addition to the event, tickets include admission to the museum and 1 adult beverage of choice. Additional beer and wine tickets will be available for purchase.

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is located at 1005 Van Hoosen Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48306. Tickets are $25 for members and $30 for non-members. To save your spot, visit www.rochesterhills.org/musprograms.
