Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 9th district, shared updates on tax relief and drug interdiction efforts through several social media posts in early September 2025.
On September 3, McClain highlighted the impact of a recent tax policy: "Over the last month, my @HouseGOP colleagues and I spent countless hours meeting with American workers and sharing the wins coming their way from the Working Families Tax Cut. I’m pleased to say: Money is heading back to the American people - where it belonged the whole time!"
The following day, she addressed a drug interdiction event: "A Venezuelan drug boat tried to poison our streets. Now it’s at the bottom of the ocean. This is how you save American lives." Also on September 4, McClain posted about supporting small business owners: "Proud to stand with small business owner Tom Click at our weekly leadership stakeout. Tom built his business from the ground up. His story proves why we need real tax relief for job creators and working families. We need to get Washington out of the way - and that’s exactly what"
Lisa McClain has represented Michigan's 9th District since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. She was born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and resides in Bruce. In addition to her congressional role, she graduated from Northwood University with a BBA in 1997.
