Chairwoman Lisa McClain highlights labor initiatives and tax cuts for working families

Chairwoman Lisa McClain, U.S. Congresswoman representing Michigan’s 9th district since 2021, posted a series of messages on social media this week highlighting her recent activities in support of American workers and legislative initiatives.

On September 4, McClain shared her experience hosting the Secretary of Labor as part of her Meet the Cabinet series. She stated, "Yesterday I had the privilege of hosting Secretary of Labor @SecretaryLCD on Capitol Hill for my Meet the Cabinet series. The @HouseGOP is proud to work alongside Secretary Chavez-DeRemer to put American Workers FIRST! ".

Later that same day, McClain congratulated Representative Sheri Biggs for her efforts on legislation aimed at supporting workers and national security. She wrote, "Congratulations, @RepSheriBiggs! Thank you for leading this bill to deliver for American workers, small businesses, and our national security."

On September 5, McClain referenced a tax cut supported by House Republicans. She said, "MORE MONEY in YOUR pocket Yeah, the @HouseGOP’s Working Families Tax Cut DID THAT!"

Lisa McClain has represented Michigan’s 9th District in Congress since replacing Paul Mitchell in 2021. Born in Stockbridge, Michigan in 1966 and currently residing in Bruce, she graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1997.
