Oxford Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept 16.
Welcome to Oxford!
And congrats on your 1st home!
Brian and Julie Nordquist stopped by the township hall to file some paperwork related to their new home. "This is our first house," Brian said. "Julie grew up in Oxford and I grew up over in Davison."
Family ties, strong schools and a vibrant downtown filled with restaurants and shops convinced the couple to buy a home and build a life in Oxford. They're already big fans of Evergreens Coffee & Bakeshop, 5-1 Diner and the Ox Bar & Grill. Julie's mother, Susan Paula, works at Creative Embroidery on E. Burdick St.
Brian and Julie both work for General Motors. He's a product interface engineer and she's a financial analyst.
The couple is pictured in front of the township hall holding a "welcome bag" from the Oxford Chamber of Commerce. Welcome bags, available at the township treasurer's office, are filled with all sorts of goodies, coupons and valuable information about local businesses.
Welcome to Oxford, Brian and Julie! We're delighted to have you here.
