Oakland Christian School recently issued the following announcement.
Elementary Chapel time today provided an opportunity to recognize and honor some OCS parents and staff, that have served, or are currently serving, our nation.
Mr. McCarty (Army Veteran) gave a proper lesson to the students on how to salute, why and when veterans salute, and history of how Veterans Day came to be on 11/11.
Other staff recognized today in Middle School chapel included Mr. Vander Wal (Army) and Mrs. Usztan (Coast Guard)
