Pontiac City School District recently issued the following announcement.
Students at Rogers recently had their Winter Holiday Shop! Students were given the opportunity to earn "Cheetah Bucks" from their teachers to shop Monday and Tuesday.
Each K-4 student was paired with a 5th grade shopping helper to assist them in choosing gifts for family and friends within their budget. All items were priced at 5/$1, $1, $3, and $5 and every student had an opportunity to shop. It was a wonderful learning experience for students that was fun, engaging, and practical. We hope to have an even bigger and better shop next year. We are especially proud of our fifth grade students from Ms. Myers' and Mrs. Schmidt's classes and all of the work they put into keeping the store neatly organized and well stocked.
We would also like to thank Ms. Myers for organizing this event, creating the Cheetah Bucks, and providing the opportunity to shop for our students and Ms. Alexa for sorting through all of the merchandise to get it organized.
