City of Pontiac issued the following announcement on Dec 24.
Christmas Tree Collection will begin Monday, January 3, 2022 and ends Friday, January 14, 2022. Stands, lights & decorations must be removed prior to set out. Do not put trees in plastic bags when placing at curb. Trees should be laying on their side with the trunk facing the street and set out at least 3 feet away from the tipper cart.
Artificial trees are not compostable and are not included in the Christmas tree collection schedule. Unwanted artificial trees should be dismantled or cut up and placed in the tipper cart for disposal.
